This course provides delegates with fundamental knowledge of assessment skills that will add value to organizations. This course complies with PR 315 criteria. Successful completion of the course fulfils the formal training requirement for individuals seeking Third Party Assessments.

How will you benefits?

Knowledge of the following environmental management principles and concepts:

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
  • The core elements of a management system and the   inter relationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review, and continual improvement.
  • Enhancement of environmental performance, Fulfilment of compliance obligations, Achievement of environmental objectives.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001 and the commonly used environmental management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 14001, which may be gained by completing a CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 Foundation (EMS) training course or the equivalent.
  • Upon registration at the course in the beginning there will be a Pre-Questionnaire test of understanding.

  • The ISO 14000 family of standards.
  • The Auditing Process Approach, which includes the PDCA Cycle;
  • The requirements of ISO 14001:2015 are being audited.
  • Documentation of the Environmental Management System is being audited.
  • Performing an audit of the ISO 19011 standard's requirements;
  • Auditor Roles and Responsibilities; Auditor Roles and Responsibilities
  • Audit Planning—Audit Plan; Checklists, Non-Conformance Reports; Audit Reporting—Final Team Meeting/ Follow-up; Verification/ Audit Records; Exercises, Case Studies, and so on.
  • Course Examination; Accreditation/ Certification and Auditor Registration

Who Should Attend This Course ?

Anyone who is or aspires to be:

  • A Third-Party Assessor or Lead Assessor of ISO 14001:2015
  • Responsible for undertaking audits of suppliers/subcontractors as per ISO 14001:2015
  • Responsible for implementing internal audits and audit programs as per ISO 14001:2015
  • Responsible for implementing the ISO 14001 series of standards.

Course Outline

Course starts at 0830 hrs. and ends approximately at 1800 hrs. Maximum attendance 10 delegates per tutor.

Lunch Break:- 45 min.

Coffee Breaks:- Mid-morning & Mid-afternoon (Max. 10 min. each)

Pre-course information is sent to delegates approximately a week prior to the beginning of the course
